To his surprise, however, instead of getting booted out when the servers go down, he is instead suddenly transported to the world of the game and is now trapped in the skeletal body of his avatar. Suzuki is saddened when he hears the game will be shut down, and decides to stay logged in for as long as he can on the game's final day of service. Set 100 years in the future, Overlord tells the story of Satoru Suzuki, a Japanese salaryman who becomes immersed in the virtual MMORPG known as YGGDRASIL. The show's Japanese voice cast, including Satoshi Hino, the voice of central protagonist Ainz Ooal Gown/Momonga, will return to reprise their roles. Director Naoyuki Ito, who directed the first three seasons of the show as well as the anime adaptation of No Guns Life, will once again helm the series for the new season. The dark fantasy series' fourth season will once again be produced by studio Madhouse, the animation studio behind classics such as Vampire Hunter D and the original Trigun anime.
